About WinningCat

WinningCat is a browsable index of Amazon's product category tree, the structure Amazon calls "browse nodes." It maps every department down through its sub-categories so sellers, developers, and researchers can see how the catalog is organised in one place.

Where the data comes from

The tree is built from Amazon's US marketplace and refreshed periodically. We do not store individual products or prices, only the category structure itself: names, Amazon node IDs, and how each node sits inside the tree.

Two ways to use it

• Browse the tree for free. Every category page links out to the matching results on Amazon.
• Download the full dataset as CSV, XLSX, or TXT for offline analysis, with free updates on every refresh.

Who builds it

WinningCat is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.com, Inc. It is the successor to an earlier tool, narrow-down (letsnarrowdown.com), rebuilt from the ground up around the category tree.
